LEARNING 4 SUCCESS

Learning For Success (L4S) is a specialised program that focuses on developing a range of skills within our students. This includes collaboration, interpersonal skills, self-awareness and confidence. It runs once a week in Year 7 and 8.

Strengths

Students explore the VIA Character Strengths to identify and understand their top strength.

Strengths

Students complete the VIA Character Survey to identify their top strengths and create a presentation that explains this strength.

Term 2

Wellbeing

A range of wellbeing supports are explored to build students’ tool box.

Careers

In this unit, students use Career Tools (an online program) to explore a potential future career option. This is done before Year 9 subject selections to assist the students with their choices.

Term 3

Creating Future Memories

The focus of this unit is to create a portfolio of memories that represents them and their current lives. This work will be stored and given back to them when they are in Year 12.

Term 4

Careers

In this unit, students use Career Tools (an online program) to explore a potential future career option.

Heroes

Students investigate a variety of heroes – considering their qualities and the challenges they have overcome. They then create a presentation on a chosen hero.
