Our program offers students the opportunity to explore their musical talents and develop their skills through engaging instrumental lessons, ensemble participation, and exciting performances. At CESC, we believe in the power of music to inspire, connect, and enrich the lives of our students.
Benefits of Learning an Instrument:
Personal Growth: Playing an instrument nurtures discipline, patience, and perseverance, helping you develop essential life skills.
Cognitive Development: Boost your memory, concentration, and problem-solving abilities through music education.
Emotional Expression: Channel your emotions and communicate through music, experiencing a profound sense of fulfillment and joy.
Social Interaction: Join ensembles and collaborate with fellow musicians, fostering teamwork and building lifelong friendships.
Cultural Appreciation: Immerse yourself in diverse musical traditions, expanding your cultural horizons and embracing global perspectives.
Years 7-9: Students in these year levels will participate in small group lessons, allowing for personalized instruction and peer collaboration.
Years 10-12: Students in these year levels will receive individual lessons, tailored to their specific musical goals and aspirations.
Ensemble participation is mandatory as part of our program. Students will have the opportunity to join our Junior Concert Band Ensemble, which begins in week 1 of term 4. Through ensemble participation, students develop essential teamwork skills, musicality, and experience the joy of making music together.
To cover the costs of program materials, performances, and instrument maintenance, there is a contribution of $120 per semester for participating students.
